Where are you initially from, and what part of the Lowcountry do you live in?
I am originally from Georgetown, South Carolina, but I wanted to change my scenery and move closer to Charleston. I currently live in North Charleston and love everything about that area.
What is your favorite part of working at Gentle Movers?
I love meeting the people that we move! They are all so different and make the job that much better.
What’s one thing people don’t know about you that they would be surprised to discover?
When most people first meet me, they think I’m pretty quiet and reserved, but once you get to know me, you see more of my crazy side. I love to have fun and be spontaneous whenever I can.
If you could have any superpower, what would it be?
I am a huge animal lover, so if I could have any superpower, it would be the ability to talk to animals. I’ve always wondered what goes on in their heads and would love to share my love with them as much as possible.
What’s your favorite restaurant in downtown Charleston?
There are too many excellent restaurants in Charleston to pick– I love trying new restaurants whenever possible.
What’s your favorite neighborhood in the Charleston area?
My favorite neighborhood is North Charleston, so I can’t imagine living elsewhere!
What is your #1 Packing Tip?
I live by the motto, “Better safe than sorry.” It can apply to many situations, especially during the moving process. At Gentle Movers, we move everything with the utmost care and safety so you can have the best move possible!
What best advice can you give someone who is preparing for a move?
I always tell our clients (and even our team) that the key to a successful move is getting enough rest the night before a big move! Doing this will ensure you are ready for a long day that will end in you enjoying your new home.
